The Citizens Investment Trust has brought forward a 'Citizen Pension Scheme' to provide pensions to all Nepalese citizens. According to the Citizens Investment Trust, you can participate in this scheme by saving at least Rs. 500 per month.
Anyone earning income from this scheme, workers / employees working in associations, institutions and established in accordance with the prevailing law, general public in self-employment and Nepalese citizens in non-resident and foreign employment can participate. Nepalese citizens who are engaged in agriculture, wage labor, any business or any other private sector can participate in this scheme. Savings can also be made monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annually. But the savings should be at least 500 per month.
The participating savers will be able to deposit a minimum monthly amount of Rs. 500 to a maximum . There is also a feature of depositing money on monthly / quarterly / half-yearly / annual basis depending on the income of the saver. According to the investment fund, the person receives a pension after completing 60 years on the basis of the amount he has saved.
The more money saved, the more pension you will get. He said that if anyone wants to leave in the middle, the person's savings will be refunded along with the interest received from that amount. However, participation in this scheme will not be waived for at least 2 years.
