'Information Technology Investment Conference' Will Be Organized
Minister for Communications and Information Technology Parbat Gurung has expressed commitment to implement the Digital Nepal Framework in an effective manner. At an interaction on Digital Nepal Framework organized by the Ministry here today, Government Spokesperson Gurung stressed on the need to move ahead with the Digital Nepal Framework in a successful and effective manner to make Nepal competitive with the developed and powerful nations.
Stating that Digital Nepal Framework is a transformational program, he urged the concerned bodies to assist the government in making it a success. Minister Gurung said, "There is no alternative to move ahead by competing with developed and powerful nations in the field of information and technology. I urge all stakeholders to support the government for the development of information and technology."
Stating that the government has taken a policy of emphasizing on cooperation with the concerned bodies to make the Digital Nepal Framework a success, Minister Gurung informed that the government is preparing to organize an international level 'Information Technology Investment Conference' for the development of information and technology sector. Minister Gurung also informed that the ministry has finalized the work of making a roster of experts to expedite the development of information technology by accepting the opinions and suggestions of experts.
On the occasion, Secretary at the Ministry Hari Prasad Basyal said that the Ministry was ready to work with the concerned bodies to make the implementation of Digital Nepal Framework effective. The expert drew the attention of Minister Gurung to create a legal, policy and investment-friendly environment for the development of information technology.
