Israel's Agricultural Technology in villages : Minister Aryal
Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Padma Aryal has said that the latest agricultural technology of Israel will be introduced in the villages. Minister Aryal made the remarks while inspecting the Shreejang Gana Nepal Army's Commercial Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Training Center under construction in Bensishahar Municipality-2 of Lamjung today.
She said, "Israel's agricultural technology, which is considered to be one of the most advanced in the world, will move the country towards prosperity if it can be extended to the villages." We are clear that the country will develop only if agriculture is developed. ”
Minister Aryal has said that the country will be prosperous only if commercial agriculture, modernization and mechanization make the government's dream of 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali' come true.
Khanan Godar, Israel's ambassador to Nepal, said Israel, which had food shortages 70 years ago, is now self-sufficient in agriculture using state-of-the-art technology to export agricultural products. She said that change in the agricultural sector is possible in Nepal if it is linked with modern technology.
Secretary of the Ministry Dr. Yogendra Karki, authorized Rathi Prabhu Kumar Sharma of the Nepal Army, Chief of Bensishahar Municipality Guman Singh Aryal and others said that the country could make a leap forward in agriculture if the youth engage in agriculture with interest and diligence.
Launched as a pilot project by the Nepal Army Welfare Fund, the training center is selecting and teaching 20 youths from military families. The training center is spread over an area of 367 ropanis ( local measurement unit) with the aim of conducting education up to BScAG.
Aiming to provide modern agricultural training to retired soldiers, their families and the general public, the training center will also introduce Israeli technology. A building for this training is being constructed here at a cost of over Rs. 150 million.
