Jagdamba mask produced by Shankar Group has received Nepal Quality Mark (NS). The Nepal Department of Quality and Measurement gave NS to the N-95 mask last week.
Director General of the Department Bishwababu Pudasaini informed that Jagdamba Mask got NS last week. The department has given the NS 584 mark while naming the respiratory protection device. The department had sent the mask to a laboratory in India for testing. As the department does not have the required laboratory, the NS mark has been given by testing the shipment to India.
Shankar Group had set up an industry to produce N-95 and KN-95 masks within Nepal after the corona infection. Sahil Agrawal, managing director of the group, said that the masks were manufactured using world-class machinery and high quality materials.
"We set up the mask industry with a big investment with a long-term objective. We started this industry at the risk of stopping the import of masks with the corona infection. We are aiming to export not only at home but also abroad, ”he told us. But always wearing a mask protects against various dust related diseases. '
The group, which has been aggressively investing in cement and rod, set up the industry after the demand for masks rose with the corona infection. The industry was established in Siddharthnagar Municipality-4 of Rupandehi district with an investment of Rs 200 million.
The industry has the capacity to produce 30 million N-95 and KN-95 masks. Similarly, it has the capacity to produce 50 million surgical masks.
