How to become a successful Entrepreneur? Billionaire Binod Chaudhary gave such tips to young people to become entrepreneurs
From any point of view, the youth of Nepal is no less than any other youth in the world. There is no shortage of thinking, inspiration, education.
Today , Nepal's youth is looking at the world with the same eyes. Entrepreneurs today don't seem to care about where they were born. Geography doesn't make sense to be an entrepreneur.
Today, companies started by unnamed entrepreneurs 20/25 years ago, even by entrepreneurs less than 35 years old, have radically changed the economy and lifestyle. The same thing is going to happen tomorrow. In the days of tomorrow , the physical work has started to be done digitally.
During Covid, a company called Zoom has increased its turnover from Rs 3 billion to Rs 150 billion. Drones have now entered the means of transportation. Which has become a challenge in the traditional business of the courier company. Due to Corona, there has been a radical change in education as well. The habit of reading online has started to develop.
Today's youth can take to the streets for political change. Now the youth must also be active for the radical change of the economy. Now the new campaign, purely working to close the current gap.
The problem is that we do not have a system to guide the entrepreneur. Such an arrangement should be made by the government.
The World Bank is currently providing more than 180 billion. The Planning Commission has a bigger idea than this. Banks are also investing. The central bank has also come up with some ideas for entrepreneurship.
Now you have to come up with ideas on how to make projects successful. Buyers are born all over the world, investors are born. But there is no product in the market. There is a huge gap in resource management right now.
Young entrepreneurs also need support to refine ideas. For this, information is given on various types of training for startup development in different countries and how to move the business forward. There are venture capitalists. Who invest in startups. There should be such an environment.
I have guided my 3 sons till the age of 10. An effort like a week's training is not enough. Only a few 'God Gifted' will come forward as an entrepreneur. Journalists will also investigate this. Why are there venture capitalists in other countries? There should also be research into why other countries have such facilities and why Nepal does not.
Now, after 2 years, more than 6 million youths are entering the field of entrepreneurship. To whom the future is not clear today. It is not clear what the future holds for young people who have just graduated. Someone has to show that way. The government will also act as a bridge between them. Then one entrepreneur will give birth to 10 entrepreneurs. But for that, the government should take the lead from the policy level.
There are as many successful young entrepreneurs as there are now. Legacy has also worked in the case of some of them, while others have also got exposure in education. They got that kind of exposure in the beginning. But new entrepreneurs have not been able to get that exposure.
After the movement of 2046 BS , the country had entered a new phase. The time for writing the constitution had begun and relations with India were improving. At that time, I was thinking about how to bring out the issues of the private sector. Private sector issues as hostesses had to be brought out.
The manufacturing sector, which once accounted for more than 10 percent of GDP, has shrunk. There is great potential in this area as well. Speaking of the current positive trend, the last generation is far ahead when it comes to the last 45/50 year old generation and the 25 year old generation generation. Not just entrepreneurship. At the policy level too, they are far ahead. They are more educated, more researchers, and far ahead in policy making.
In order to move the economy forward, the Nepali Congress government pushed for liberalization in 2042 BS. In which 7 sectors that contribute to the GDP were brought forward as pillars. That created an open environment for work. An environment has been created to work in the fields of tourism, aviation, telecom, communication, software and so on. There can be no alternative to manufacturing in the field of employment. But the recent shrinking of the manufacturing sector is not a good thing.
In recent times, the presence of the private sector has become very large. In the past, it was limited to a few districts, but now the economy is developing in most of the districts of the country and the private sector is having a strong presence in it. And, that's why today's economy is moving. The contribution of the private sector is important in running economic activities today.
What is really unfortunate is the situation of power brokers, businessmen and even middle people. We didn't want to separate them either, we couldn't. We didn't want to create that kind of pressure. That kind of mentality is everywhere. I am also a law maker. That is why he knows the style of making laws, rules and regulations. I have seen, I have understood. Even in the work of making it, the mentality that positive processes should be blocked instead of creating a conducive environment for moving forward prevailed.
The mentality that they misuse and corrupt by putting one issue in front of them prevailed among the law makers. Where laws, rules and regulations seem to move forward with negative thinking. Those who can manipulate the system dominate the system. For this, while I was in an executive role in the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Confederation of Industries and the Chamber of Commerce, we could not remove this trend even in the days that followed. And, they eventually become a burden on the system.
Earlier, we said that the government was not permanent. But now that the government has received nearly two-thirds of the vote in three years, things have not gone as expected. The situation has not changed. As far as politics is concerned, I am not a member of any political party. What I want is that in the next 5 years, the next generation will not have to talk about the tears I am saying today. Which I have been saying for 40 years. Don't let Nepal's fields and orchards become barren tomorrow and food grains be imported from India. Today, the most populous agricultural sector has not been able to compete. The land area is getting smaller. That is possible only if there is no radical change in Political thinking.
Just as it is not possible to change politicians through agitation, it is not easy for businessmen to create a productive world.
This is not possible unless politicians give such people the right place. So wherever I say, a good person must come into politics. It is not possible to live and talk politically but be afraid to take to the streets to shake hands. And, I believe that one day political parties will come to that place.
