Bhattarai claims that Prime Minister Oli has more than 100 MPs

Bhattarai claims that Prime Minister Oli has more than 100 MPs

Vishal Bhattarai, chief whip of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Oli faction, has claimed that there are still more than 100 Mps in favor of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. Bhattarai also said that they are ready to show it in the parliament if necessary.

Speaking in an interview organized by Reporters Club Nepal on Saturday, Bhattarai said that there is still a majority of MPs in favor of Prime Minister Oli. "Prime Minister Oli is rumored to be in the minority, but I claim he is in the majority," he said. We are ready to show it when needed. Speaking of numbers in his favor, there are more than a hundred MPs. '

He said that the people had sent the CPN (Maoist) with a two-thirds majority but the game of removing Prime Minister Oli had started less than two years ago due to the interests of some leaders within the party.
He also said that they have succeeded in taking the party to the grassroots level in the last two months after the dissolution of the House of Representatives. He also said that they would respect the decision of the Supreme Court to reconstitute the House of Representatives. He said that the government has already recommended to convene the session of the House of Representatives on March 7 as per the decision of the Supreme Court.

Bhattarai also said that they would respond to the motion of no-confidence against the Prime Minister. He also said that they have not taken any action against Prachanda and Madhav Kumar Nepal so far. However, he criticized Dahal-Nepal, who had come to Kathmandu from Chitwan, for proposing another party's president to become the prime minister. He also told Prachanda and Madhav Nepal that there is still room for truth. However, Prachanda has demanded the return of the 19-page chargesheet submitted by him at the party committee meeting. He said that the chargesheet should be withdrawn and the entire term of the parliament should be accepted by KP Oli as the Prime Minister and the chairperson till the next general convention.

He informed that a meeting of his parliamentary party will be held before the session of the parliament (Falgun 23 ). He also urged Dahal-Nepal to participate in the meeting. He said that he would not do anything even if he did not come immediately. He said that if a no-confidence motion was filed against Prime Minister Oli in the parliament, they would face it head on. However, he warned that action would be taken against the party's lawmakers if they violated the party's whip.
He also said that the main opposition party Nepali Congress had not formally demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister. He also opined that the Congress should clear the issue of who will stand first. However, Bhattarai insists that they have a single majority as the CPN (Maoist) has not split yet. "Our party does not have to bow to anyone now," he said. He also claimed that the Election Commission would give official status to the CPN (Maoist).
